Engagement Shoot - Andrew & Jenn

With their wedding date quickly approaching, Andrew & Jenn and I went down to the SE waterfront industrial area to do some engagement photos. It’s a cool place to shoot, with all kinds of props like shopping carts laying around for anyone to use. And we did. I found two vintage umbrellas at a garage sale a couple weeks ago, and I gave the red one to them to use, and I think it worked out great.

Sweet Vinyl Score - Pour Quelques dollars de plus

I’ve been collecting vinyl with a new-found tenacity lately, and my latest Ebay find is this French copy of the Ennio Morricone soundtrack for the Sergio Leone spaghetti western film For a Few Dollars More. The title track features the whistling and guitar playing of Alessandro Alessandroni, “everyone’s favorite whistler”. The cover features Clint Eastwood’s grimacing face as Three Serious Dudes approach from behind. And the back cover has a gnarly duel in progress, plus the original sticker from the shop the record was sold in somewhere in France.

Katie & Lee - June 7th, 2008

Katie & Lee got married at the Mormon Temple in Lake Oswego. It’s a huge white marble building, with many steps and columns–it was most tranquil. Becca Blevins came with me as my second shooter, it was bodacious as is often the case. We have a deal going where we help each other out at weddings when we’re able to, it’s most excellent, like, in a major way!

After shooting a bit at the Temple, we headed back into downtown Portland to Park Kitchen, in the North Park Blocks. We shot some more stuff around there, and then it was time to relax!
